Who are we?

At Volatile AI (https://volatile.ai) our mission is to advance digital smell monitoring. After all, smell is the last of human senses to remain largely off limits from being fully understood and measured digitally.

Having launched the company in June 2019, we have received investment from two of the top early stage investment funds: a deep tech fund Entrepreneur First in London and world's top hardware investor Hax (the YC of hardware) and have spent time building the hardware in Shenzhen, China.

We are now looking to expand our engineering team.

Why are we recruiting?

Our solution is used to detect chemical variations of foods in production and combines gas sensors, a pneumatic sampler system and machine learning algorithms. As we ramp up our client pipeline, we need a mechanically trained engineer to help us with CAD design, part sourcing, data gathering and a host of other hardware startup challenges. We are looking for someone motivated by novel IoT + AI technology, who is a go getter, and is excited by the nature of working for a startup.

We care more about the right candidate than the setup specifics (full time / part time / contract or freelance). It can also be partly remote, but given this is an engineering role, commuting to our office in the centre of Vilnius will be beneficial.

This is an opportunity to learn and grow with us as we expand and to become instrumental in driving the engineering effort forward at Volatile.

You:

  • are excited about technology and IoT devices;
  • have the knowledge of CAD design, ideally Fusion360 or SolidWorks;
  • have a conversational level of English, which is our working language;
